Editor’s note: After months of trying to co-ordinate activities and build their numbers, atheists from Southeast Asia have managed to organize thanks to the internet. The latest project is a forum for atheists from Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. This forum can be found at:

SEA-Atheists.org is a safe haven for southeast asian non-believers. It is a form of cooperation of non-believers from (as for now) 4 countries: Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. We felt that we have similar problems in our countries: supernatural beliefs, strong influence of religion in governments or/and in our daily life, discrimination of non-believers in our predominantly religious country, etc. We want our freedom, and also we want to promote science education and rational thinking in our society.
The SEA-Atheists.org Forum is just the first step to achieve that. A website is underway.
