About the author

  • good interview…

around 17:00, the bit about recording religious people’s words and playing a variant back to them was funny. It reminded me about the description in The God Delusion of high society Christians looking down on tribals’ superstitious beliefs while the Christians themselves are blind to the same sort of nonsense is in their religion too.

All religious beliefs seem weird to those not brought up in them. Boyer did research on the Fang people of Cameroon…

The God Delusion – pg. 174/396

Also, the concept of SuperVector rings true. Religious supporters in key political position, be it as advisors or direct participants have historically influenced governance.

  • It was interesting to hear this edition of Cosmic boondocks. It was a nice comparison of a god as a god virus.

At one point Darrel Ray mentions people who are risk takers tend to be more religious than those who avoid taking risks. I have a difference of opinion with idea. I feel people who have a strong faith in some religion and god end up in being doing high risks. The idea that some god is providing them with some cover up from the above, makes them strong. At times a rationalist would avoid doing a high risk task, after analysing and thinking specktically, however a person with a strong belief in some god will attempt it, assuming that god will take care of the saving him/her.

For children, my opinion is to expose them to more of science. Its science, I think that had turned most of believers into non believers.

Anyway do continue with more of such talks.

    • vivek, that part was about the (pre-)infection susceptibility , after the infection the host may obviously behave like that(take high risk).

    • grounding tips cond.nuet…iUse the method with Arch Angel Michael that Magenta Pixie has described for disconnecting from negative entities. Sometimes you may have a psychic cord that is draining you and causing you to be ungrounded.Move? Your Body and be aware of your breath and sensations as you move. Exercising while watching TV, etc. doesnt work. The idea is to bring your mental focus into your body.
