First Meeting Of The Karnataka Rationalist Association in Bangalore on the 14th of March, 2010.

The details of the meeting are as follows.

(Near Kannada Sahitya Parishath, opposite City Institute Club)

The first state level Rationalist meet will be held on the 14th of March 2010. The goals of the meet are to strengthen the Rationalist Movement in the state, to incorporate scientific temper, to fight against superstitions, miracle mongers and fundamentalism. Most importantly, we aim to encourage the youth to join the movement. We wish to have the support of people from  all walks of life. No restrictions on the numbers of members from any delegation for attending the conference. However, only two persons from each district are allowed to present a paper on the above subject.

    How did this meeting go? Did you have a good turnout? Could you please post some meeting notes when you have time? Thanks!

  2. It is a very good message that youths are openly invited to join freethought movement. Freethinking is the essential part and probably foundation of rationalistic thinking and living. The Indian traditional authoritarian orationism would be replaced to question answer sessions to actuate the cause proposed.

    I would love to witness this interesting event if we wouldn’t have our function prescheduled for March 14,2010. I am pasting the Invitation for our traditional Annual Function for the Children below:

    We feel glad to inform you that despite of every type of unbearable odds with us here we have decided to arrange our Traditional Annual Function ‘CELEBRATING THE DEDICATION TO CHILDREN’ on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Everyone is Cordially Invited to participate and share with the pleasure of our 98 previous street children and All our Sympathizers and Associates.

    Swami Manavatavadi shall talk on ‘The Contemporary Problems Related to Children with the Parents and Society and Problems with the Children’. Written Questions would be gladly attended.

    Outstation visitors/participants/sympathizers/viewers who want to come some days earlier are humbly requested to inform us earlier so that we can make arrangements for their stay. Our humble Hospitality would include Country style Dormitory Accommodation for all who would need it, Country Style Breakfast with tea, Lunch and Dinner till they would want to stay.
